About Me

I am a gestalt psychotherapist and Registered Accredited member of the BACP (Bristish Association Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy (Gestalt Centre Wales) and a Diploma of Higher Education in Humanistic Gestalt Counselling (Bucks New University). I am completing a Childrens and Young Persons PGDip in Gestalt Psychotherapy. I am a Bupa recognised therapist.

I retired from Hampshire Police after nearly 3 decades in a variety of specialisms, including domestic violence, child protection, and the management of fellow police officers impacted by traumatic experiences. My ability not to shy away from another`s distress and despair led onto a natural path into psychotherapy training.

I am committed to my own personal and professional development. As a member of the BACP, I abide by their Ethical Framework, which is available online at this link.

This means that my clients receive a professional and confidential service by a competent and qualified therapist; it also means my practice is fully insured and entails me having regular supervision and engaging in my own personal therapy. This enables me to be fully present for you as we journey together.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and am GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliant. This means I protect your confidentiality and privacy.

I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.

I attend professional conferences, residentials and workshops and train in person with the Pacific Gestalt Institute, California, USA and virtually with the Gestalt Institute of Cleaveland, USA and Istituto di Gestalt, H.C.C Italy. I am a Registered Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am an Accredited Professional Registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I am an individual member of the UK Association for Gestalt Practitioners, an individual member of the European Interdisciplinary Association for Therapeutic Services for Children and Young People and an individual member of the Hampshire Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (HACP).
